Cancer Choices Information and Support Centre was established in 2004 as an independent, patient-led organisation supporting people affected by Cancer wherever they may be .
Since 2004 we have support in excess of 15.000 people and become one of the leading Cancer Charities in Northern Ireland. All staff management and volunteers have had either their own personal experience or have supported close family members through the Cancer journey and will understand the challenges associated with a diagnosis.
We work in partnership and alongside all statutory community and voluntary organisation to complement service delivery and to ensure our services are delivered to the highest quality in a professional manner. We offer self development and user experience opportunities for service users, volunteers and health professionals. We advocate, represent and present across all sectors at all levels to influence the planning and delivery of our cancer services locally regionally and nationally.
In April 2015, Cancer Choices moved to Ivy Cottage, Donaghmore. A small rural village just 3 miles from Dungannon, Ivy Cottage brings us closer in location to supporting local people isolated by geographical location and centralisation of services . As a voluntary organisation we significantly depend on volunteers and we greatly appreciate the gift of their time dedication and commitment to ensure the continued success of the organisation.
Fundraising for sustainability is essential and as a charity, Cancer Choices depends on the generosity and support of service users, family friends local communities, businesses and the general public. This continuing support is truly appreciated and supports us to continue to provide FREE services to local people affected by Cancer wherever they may be.
CANCER CHOICES DO NOT OFFER MEDICAL OPIONIONS OR ADVICE. .
